Donate some--or all--of your candy money to help feed the nearly 3,000 school age kids in our community who don't have enough to eat. Carolina Lily will match all donations made at our shop through Oct. 30. See Food for Thought online and on Facebook-be sure to read Katie Scarvey's wonderful article explaining how the operation started and works. Giving up one bag of candy will just about feed a kid for a day.

Madison's birthday

Those of you who follow this blog may have noticed it's been some time since I've posted--so sorry! Just got caught up in the fun of Facebook--check us out there. This little girl, Madison Ward, is shown here having won the hat contest back in May. She just joined us for her 9th birthday--and got quite glammed up with a bunch of her galpals. We had a great time Butterfly Boogeying this weekend...see loads of cute photos on our website. Great job by teachers and staffers made it a really fun day. Adorable cupcakes by Two Red Hens, too.One gal even caught a butterfly!

Naked Bee cuticle cream is back in stock for those who love it--it's great for gardener's hands! Speaking of gardening, while you are out in the yard the next few weeks, pot up an extra plant or two for our upcoming plant swap.
